Club Captain Steve McKelvie partnered by Club Champion Graeme Morrison hit the first ball of the new season.
Although it was blustery, the rain stayed off until most matches had been completed.
The match finished 7 1/2 - 5 1/2 victory for the Captains team.
In his celebration speech Steve thanked everyone for making the day a success and wished everyone good health and a great season.
The days sweep was won by for the Captains team John Duffy and Gary Watt, Vice Captains Bob Wilke and Paul Furey, both pairs returned a nett 62.5
